Jindal SAW Ltd. will set up a 300,000-tonne-per-annum (TPA) seamless pipe manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi, with completion targeted for 2027.

The investment amount has not been disclosed.

The facility, being developed through the company’s UAE subsidiary, will come up on a 400,000-sq metre site at ICAD-II Musaffah.

It will use Precision Quality Finishing (PQF) rolling technology to manufacture line pipes, oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and drill pipes.

The project will be the UAE’s first seamless pipe manufacturing facility using PQF technology and the second of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, the company said.

The investment is aimed at strengthening its presence in the region’s energy infrastructure market through local manufacturing.

“As we develop these projects, our priority remains disciplined execution and lasting commercial relationships built on accountability, engineering expertise and a clear understanding of what customers need from their manufacturing partners,” said Sminu Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal SAW.

The company already operates Jindal SAW Gulf LLC in Abu Dhabi, with an annual ductile iron pipe capacity of 350,000 tonnes, catering to water transmission and distribution.

Its specialised energy portfolio also includes Jindal Hunting Energy Services Ltd., an Indian joint venture with Hunting Energy Services Pte.

Ltd., supplying premium-connection casing and tubing using proprietary technologies.
